Vacancy: Full-time Keeper

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time keeper. This post is for a highly motivated person who is practical, hard working and can work outdoors doing a physically demanding job, specifically:

  • Care for our collection of British wildlife
  • Maintenance of animal enclosures
  • Helping to educate the public and school groups through talks and demonstrations

Essential requirements:

A National Diploma/Foundation Degree in Animal Management (or equivalent) is essential, along with other skills and experience. Please download the following job description for full requirements of the role and application procedures.

Work Experience Placements

The British Wildlife Centre offer a limited number of one-week long work experience placements for students aged 18+ and who are studying for a recognised animal management qualification. If you fit this criteria and would like to apply please contact the Centre by email providing relevant details.
Places are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
